This exam is listed as exam code 1Z0-052 on the Oracle Certification website at http://certification.oracle.com.
This is given as a proctored exam at a participating Pearson VUE exam site. A candidate is given 90 minutes to answer 70 questions and must achieve a passing score of 66 percent. The 70 test questions are taken randomly from a larger bank of questions by the testing software. The test itself is in multiple choice format; however, the number of choices can vary greatly between questions. Some questions have as many as six possible choices for the answer. Additionally, some questions have multiple correct answers; the candidate must respond with all the correct answers in order to achieve full credit on the question. The exam costs $195 to take. In the event the candidate fails the exam, they must wait 14 days before retaking the exam. The 1Z0-52 exam is the second test required to achieve the Oracle Certified Association (OCA) certification. The first test required is 1Z0-051—Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals I. For assistance on that exam, refer to the first book of this series.
