Chapter 5: Securing Private EKS Cluster for Production

This chapter will walk you through all the planning you require to create a production-grade private EKS cluster. It will cover most of the necessary topics, such as the Container Network Interface (Virtual Private Cloud CNI), network policy, logging, security, and observability for EKS clusters. It includes the implementation of a service mesh, and some must-have add-ons, such as Cluster Autoscaler, IAM Role for Service Accounts (IRSA), and the Elastic Block Store-Container Storage Interface (EBS-CSI) driver.
