Chapter 7. Security and Sharing in Einstein Analytics

Data security is the most important aspect of any business, irrespective of the size of the business. The platform security should be able to protect sensitive and confidential data. Protecting data from any unauthorized user is very important and Einstein Analytics Security ensures that. It makes sure that the right users have the right to access to the right data. As you already know, there are two main sources from which we import data into Einstein and build datasets, Salesforce data, and external systems. The Einstein Analytics Security model provides multiple ways to secure this data. This chapter covers security and sharing in Einstein Analytics. In this chapter, we are going to cover the following topics:

  • Salesforce data access
  • Configuring integration/security users
  • Sharing applications, lenses, and dashboards
  • Data security, security predicates, and sharing inheritance
  • Implementing row-level security
