Overview of this book

Welcome to the Robot World … and start building intelligent software now! Through his best-selling video courses, Hadelin de Ponteves has taught hundreds of thousands of people to write AI software. Now, for the first time, his hands-on, energetic approach is available as a book. Starting with the basics before easing you into more complicated formulas and notation, AI Crash Course gives you everything you need to build AI systems with reinforcement learning and deep learning. Five full working projects put the ideas into action, showing step-by-step how to build intelligent software using the best and easiest tools for AI programming, including Python, TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch. AI Crash Course teaches everyone to build an AI to work in their applications. Once you've read this book, you're only limited by your imagination.

The demo

Given the different files we have, make sure to understand that there are four possible ways to run the program:

  1. Without dropout and without early stopping
  2. Without dropout and with early stopping
  3. With dropout and without early stopping
  4. With dropout and with early stopping

Then, for each of these four combinations, the way to run this is the same: we first execute the training file, and then the testing file. In this demo section, we'll execute the 4th option, with both dropout and early stopping.

Now how do we run this? We have two options: with or without Google Colab.

I'll explain how to do it on Google Colab, and I'll even give you a Google Colab file where you only have to hit the play button. For those of you who want to execute this without Colab, on your favorite Python IDE, or through the terminal, let me explain how it's done. It's easy; you just need to download the main repository from GitHub, then...
