Installing Java Development Kit (JDK)

Perform the following steps to install the JDK on your system:

  1. Download the latest version (Java SE 7u67 at the time of writing this book) of the Java 7 JDK (not 8) from Oracle at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html.

  2. Agree to the license agreements.

  3. Pick the installer compatible with your system.

  4. Double-click on the installer and follow the onscreen instructions.
