Animating the font size of an element


It is possible to animate the values of various properties, and it is not limited to basic shapes, such as rectangles or ellipses. In this recipe, you will learn how to animate the font size for a text block. Such a solution may be useful to visually inform the user about some important message presented in the user interface.

How to do it...

To prepare the example that animates the font size, perform the following steps:

  1. Add a text block to the page and define a storyboard for changing its font size. Do this by modifying the content of the MainPage.xaml file, as shown in the following code:
