Enterprise architects
Enterprise architecture is more about operating at a very high level, primarily at a strategic level. Enterprise architecture is more about strategy than code. Therefore, an enterprise architect’s role is to create designs at the organization level, analyze what tools are needed at a business level, maintain a close relationship with each department, and get a realistic overview.
Since we are talking about a strategic role that works at the organization level, this role needs a potent combination of soft skills, such as problem-solving, business strategy, and communication, and technical skills, such as cloud computing and strategic development modeling, to name just a few. They need a broad perspective to define the business needs in an ever-changing external environment. This makes them the ones, out of all the types we are going to discuss, that should have the strongest understanding of an organization’s strong and weak spots.
