Oracle Essbase 11 Development Cookbook

In this recipe, we will use the @MDALLOCATE function to allocate data from upper-level members of our Product and Market dimension to the lower-levels across both dimensions. We will then go over the @MDALLOCATE functions parameters as used in our recipe. In this recipe, we will be using the Sample.Basic database as @MDALLOCATE is a BSO command.
To get started, click on the Start menu and navigate to Program | Oracle EPM System | Essbase | Essbase Administration Services | Start Administration Services Console. In the Log in menu, enter your Administration Server, Username, Password, and click on the Log in button.
Drill down on the Essbase Server in EAS, expand the Applications node, drill down on the Sample application and Basic database, right-click on the Outline, and select Edit from the drop-down.
