Visual Studio 2010 Best Practices
By :
Visual Studio (VS) is a tool. It is the integrated development environment (IDE) by which many .NET developers organize, maintain, analyze, design, compile, and document their product. Visual Studio supports language-specific projects to produce assemblies: executables, class libraries, native DLLs, native executables, and anything add-ins and extensions might add to available projects.
As with any tool, it's designed to be used in certain ways, but can be used in ways it wasn't designed to be used. This chapter attempts to detail some practices on using Visual Studio in the way it was designed, as well as some practices on not using Visual Studio in ways it wasn't designed, to avoid grief.
