Learning Splunk Web Framework
By :
Our main dashboard for our Cell Biology Splunk App is looking pretty good, but when we load the page, we see that there is a delay between the page displaying and our graphs and visualisations completing.

The time it takes for our search queries to complete is not that big, but in this example, we are only working with around 700 MB of data that need to be searched against. What if our cell simulations were a lot more complex? What if we were searching over larger periods of time? And what if we have terabytes of data that we need to search through to provide our report to our users? Unfortunately, some of our users, especially nontechnical users, will not really care about the technology and work going on in the background to get this data delivered. But fortunately, Splunk provides different ways for us as developers to speed up the way we deliver our data to our dashboard.
