Syntactically Awesome StyleSheets (Sass) is another popular preprocessor. It's very similar to LESS and offers all the features that you can find in LESS. Which one should you use? It's worth knowing both the frameworks. If you have to go with which has more stars on GitHub, then LESS, but that can change over time. The latest version of Bootstrap, Bootstrap 4, is written with Sass; the previous versions were with LESS and if you dig into the popularity numbers, it looks like Sass surpasses LESS. Also, Material Design Lite uses Sass too.

Let's write our grid with Sass this time.

In the terminal, run the following command:

>> meteor create sass_app;

Alternatively, you can modify your previous app if you don't want to create another app.

They are two required packages for Meteor in order to compile the scss files into css:

>> meteor add fourseven:scss
>> npm install node-sass
