Creating the content for our channel


Before you start building your templates, it helps to have some content in the new channel. Make your first entry the content of Ed & Eg's index.html page:

  1. 1. In the control panel, click on Content | Publish and then select the website channel. (If the website channel was your first, then clicking Content | Publish will automatically take you to the publish page for the website channel).

  2. 2. You can see that the Publish page looks different than it did for the News channel. There is still a Title and a URL Title, but instead of the Body, Extended text, and News Image, you can now see your custom fields instead (Image and Content). Since you are populating this entry with the content from index.html, open index.html in your browser.
