From an outsider's or non-developer's perspective, the idea of using someone else's code within your project may bring up many negative connotations. If you're using the code that has been created and freely distributed by someone you don't know, how can you trust that it performs as advertised and won't show malicious functionality? Traditionally, when importing libraries and using frameworks in any programming language, only a small fraction of the entire code base will be utilized.
