Adding web objects


Web objects are any web content, such as websites, blogs, forums, external videos, or flash files. Storyline lets developers add web objects to their slides, either by linking the web object within the slide or by displaying the web object in a new browser window.

Note

When working with web objects, you will be unable to preview the web object until the story has been published and uploaded. It will not display locally.

To add a web object, select Web Object from the Insert tab. The Insert Web Object window will appear. Here you will specify the link to the web object, how you want the web object to display, and how the web object should behave. Once you have specified these parameters, select OK and the web object will be inserted onto your slide.

One great way of using web objects is to create an embedded PDF viewer effect. This is a fairly easy effect to create and allows the learners to review PDF documentation within the slide without having to leave the course or module...
