You can navigate to the two dialogs that contain project settings using the following: File | Settings and File | Project Structure. Both are also available in the toolbar.
Select your project from the project view and navigate to the Settings menu in File. The left-hand-side panel of the Settings dialog displays a section named Project Settings [MyApplication]. Some important options are as follows:
Compiler: This configures the Android DX compiler used when building our application.
File Encodings: This changes the file's encoding. The default encoding is UTF-8.
Language Injections: This adds or removes the available languages used in the editor.
Version Control: This configures the version control options. Version control will be explained in more detail in Chapter 6, Tools.
