Data formatting in Angular

In real-world applications, we always have a scenario where the data returned by the backend web service call is not in the format we would like to present on the user interface. Angular provides us with a feature called pipes which allows us to format the data as per the needs while processing it to be shown on the user interface.

Angular pipes allow us to format the data before they are displayed which helps us make the values more user interactive. Angular provides some built-in pipes for us to handle some common operations such as upperCase and lowerCase, which allow us to change the case of a text or date, allowing us to format the date as desired, or even currency pipe, which helps us to format our data by defining any specific currency we want to display and the number of decimal places.
