Launching an app


In this recipe, we are going to take a look at the App Launcher by clicking on the App Launcher icon and test what the assigned standard Lightning apps are, as well as the custom Lightning apps for a user. We have confirmed that we are using Lightning Experience via the App Launcher.

How to do it…

  1. Click on the App Launcher icon; you can find all the apps that are assigned to you:
  1. Since you are the user, some apps are assigned to you, such as Service Lightning App, Chatter Lightning App, Marketing Lightning App, and any other custom Lightning apps, and all items such as Lightning pages and Lightning tabs.

How it works…

We will switch from one app to another app. So, access the App Launcher and go to either the Marketing app, which is nothing but the Marketing Lightning App, or go to the Sales Lightning App. So we have some tabs—Opportunities, Leads, Tasks.
