Stream Analytics tools for Visual Studio


The Stream Analytics tools for Visual Studio help prepare, build, and deploy real-time events on Azure. Optionally, the tools enable you to monitor the streaming job using local sample data as job input testing as well as real-time monitoring, job metrics, diagram view, and so on. This tool provides a complete development setup for the implementation and deployment of real-world Azure Stream Analytics jobs using Visual Studio.

Prerequisites for the installation of Stream Analytics tools

This following development environment setup is needed in order to start working with Azure Stream Analytics jobs using Visual Studio:

  • Visual Studio supported versions: Visual Studio 2017/2015 (Enterprise, Professional, or Ultimate, and Community Edition), Visual Studio 2013 updated with Edition 4 (all Editions except Express), or VS 2012 Enterprise
  • Azure SDK for .NET version 2.7.1 or later is compulsory, which can be downloaded from https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads...
