Leadership and Management

“Management” or “manager” is a formal position, defined by organizational structure and described as part of the process and/or responsibility tied to completing business processes. It is therefore simplest to define a manager as any person who manages at least one business process and/or one person. Such a definition covers a much wider population within the organization than one may consider in discussing management and when the very top or upper echelons of the hierarchal pyramid within organizations is considered.
