It would be fair to say I would not be where I am now/today without network automation. I was not the first person on the “automate everything” bus, though. I fully admit I was late to the game, or so I felt back in 2014. Since starting in networking in 2008, a number of people have said how they could automate many of their daily tasks, but yet, my ego said my CLI was still better. What held me back?
