  1. 2 and 3Azure File Share Sync reduces the storage footprint of the on-premise file servers by using cloud tiering. This generates a heat map on the on-premise file share and archives infrequently accessed files to Azure. It also provides fault tolerance for on-premise file shares. If a file server goes offline, you can easily restore its file shares to another file server.
