Visually representing your data can arguably be called an art. Going from data to visualization, or "viz" for short, can actually be a lot of work. Just think about it; we have to first get the data, prepare it, analyze it, and then, we can finally try to chart it. Does this ring a bell? Yes, this is the data analysis life cycle we have been talking about over and over in this book. Now, my last statement does not mean that the only time you build a chart is at the end. Early in your exploratory phase, plotting your data can be very valuable in getting to know what you are working with. In this chapter, we are going to explore many of Excel's charting features and get you started with building vibrant visualizations.
