This chapter is intended to make readers aware of few domains. The intention is not to make the reader domain expert but enable him/her to converse easily with the business users and understand terminologies and KPIs which are needed by specific industries.
In this chapter, we looked at how the insurance industry works and different entities which insurance works with. We looked at frequently used terms in the insurance industry and also went through the different functions/departments the insurance industry has. We also looked at the KPIs and few use cases.
Like insurance industry, we looked at the pharmaceutical industry. The chapter took you through entities, frequently used terminologies, and the functioning of the various departments, along with KPIs and use cases. A similar exercise was performed for the retail industry as well.
