Reporting and Output Delivery System

In this chapter, we will learn about sending our output to an external system and controlling what is sent and how the output is formatted in the file created in the external system. To do this, we will use the Output Delivery System (ODS). ODS helps to write SAS output to a particular destination. There are two types of destinations that are supported. The destinations and various formats within that are as follows:

  • SAS formatted destinations. These include the following:
    • Document
    • Listing
    • Output
  • Third-party formatted destinations. These include the following:
    • Excel
    • PowerPoint
    • EPub
    • HTML
    • Rich Text Format (RTF)
    • Printer family of destinations
    • Markup family of destinations
