We have just completed our initial look into the world of Blackboard Learn users. This chapter helped us understand the importance of planning when it comes to users. Whether we plan to integrate our environment with other organizational systems or have it run by itself, administrators like us have to do some chin rubbing. We must think about how our decisions and user policies will affect us in the future. Blackboard offers us many controls on what information users can see about themselves and others. Our discussions also reviewed the process to create one or multiple users within our instance.
Our next chapter gets us into the deeper waters of user management within Blackboard Learn. We will start to become the virtual landlord for our tenants, giving out keys and access to different parts of our virtual community. So get ready to learn more about roles and privileges as we move into the next chapter.
