JConsole and Visual VM are wonderful management tools, but they cannot fit into all customer needs. Besides all the support you have with JConsole or VisualVM, JBoss recommends the RHQ tool; if you want a more professional monitoring tool to manage all Infinispan instances spread across the grid, you should use RHQ.
RHQ is an open source management and monitoring tool that provides administration capabilities for JBoss Application Server, or other application servers like Tomcat. RHQ has Server/Agent architecture with an extensible plugin-based system that delivers automatic discovery and inventory of managed resources, configurable alerting, real-time graphing, administration, and monitoring for different products and platforms.
