In Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, duplicate detection allows us to set duplicate detection policies and detect duplicate records. These rules can be applied across different record types. For example, we can define a duplicate detection rule that a lead is a duplicate of a contact, if they have the same name and e-mail. Log in to the Dynamics CRM 2011 system as a user having access rights to create duplicate detection rules.
Navigate to Settings | System | Data Management | Duplication Detection Rules.
