Adding a toolbar icon to a form

Our next step is to add a button to the toolbar. We have already added the menu item. We want to create an icon on the toolbar that will perform the same action as the user using the menu. In this recipe, we will accomplish the following:

Adding an icon to the toolbar
Testing to see if the toolbar icon is displayed

Adding an icon to the toolbar

We have added the menu to call the Societies form in the previous recipe. We are now going to add a toolbar icon as well.

How to do it...

To add a toolbar icon, perform the following tasks:

1. Log in to Oracle with the UK HRMS Manager responsibility.
2. Navigate to People | Enter and Maintain.
3. In the query entry screen, select the New button.
4. Select Help | Diagnostics | Custom Code | Personalize from the menu.
5. Navigate to the Adding a menu item to a form record.
6. Navigate to the Actions tab.
7. Check the Render line before menu checkbox.
8. Set the Icon Name value to hrvwshlwas, as shown in the following screenshot:
