A VDI without redundancy can result in unexpected outages and downtime. Designing a VMware View solution that is highly resilient from insufficient resources or from the failure of the host, vCenter, or the connection server is paramount to a production-quality solution.

In the next chapter, the last major hurdle, storage design, will be discussed. A VDI with improperly designed storage can not only result in poor end user experience but also significantly add to the overall cost of the VDI solution.
