Working With Multiple Catalogs

In Captivate Prime, a catalog is a collection of learning objects. So far, in this book, all the content available on your account is part of the default catalog that was automatically created along with your Prime account. This default catalog has the following characteristics:

  • It cannot be deleted (but it can be disabled instead; more on that in the Enabling and disabling catalogs section of in this chapter).
  • All the courses, learning programs, certifications, and job aids that you create on your Prime account are automatically included in the default catalog.
  • By default, all the learners defined on your account (including internal and external learners) have access to the default catalog and, therefore, to all the content available on your Prime account.
