In this chapter, you will review the tools and features of Captivate Prime that allow you to manage the users that will be granted access to your Prime account.

When it comes to user management, there are two important aspects to keep in mind: authentication and authorization. Authentication answers the question, "Who are you?", while authorization answers the question, "What can you do?"

For authentication, you can, of course, define users directly within Captivate Prime. But as the enterprise LMS of choice, Captivate Prime understands that users may already be defined in a corporate directory, an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, and so on.
