Creating an animated GIF


Animated GIF files are video sequences that have been turned into a single image file that is capable of playing back the relevant video data. They are often used in forums where you can set your profile image to be an animated GIF file, which will play in an endless loop in most browsers. As you will see, the workflow for creating such a file is simple and the output can be a lot of fun; it's certainly a lot more interesting to have an animated GIF as your profile image than a boring still image!

Engage Thrusters

Create an animated GIF from your Timeline by performing the following steps:

  1. Set Timeline as the active panel and check that the Audio Export sequence you created in the last task is still active and that the In and Out points you defined are still set around Cough_Clip.avi.
