Time for action—browsing and selecting a Moodle theme


Okay, it's now time for some action. Open your local Moodle site and get familiar with Moodle's theming processes. I recommend that you use a locally installed Moodle to perform the exercises in the book, as you really do not want to risk crashing your organization's Moodle website.

  1. 1. Open your favorite browser and navigate to your local Moodle installation. If you followed the instructions on Moodle.org, then it will be at the following address: http://localhost. You should then be presented with your newly installed Moodle site, which should have loaded the default standard theme automatically, as seen in the following screenshot:
