In this chapter, we have been discussing some further enhancements that can be made to Moodle and to your Moodle theme. You have learned how to make some more CSS changes to make your theme even better, and have addressed some issues on the way. You have also learned why you should use the Moodle features demo course for testing purposes, and have looked at the reasons why you would create and use a Moodle course theme. Finally, we have discussed how to check your Moodle site with W3C validators, and have learned how to finish off our theme with a theme splash screen and theme selector image.
Specifically, we covered:
Changing buttons and form fields
Creating a CSS rollover and drop-down menus
Consolidating CSS statements
Downloading and installing the Moodle features demo
Creating a course theme, and why we would do this
Validating any HTML code that we have created
Adding a theme splash screen and screenshot
Changing the column order
