In this stage of the development process, you need to think about getting all of your assets together before you create your first proper Moodle theme. Assets are all of the different elements that you will need to use in order for you to complete your Moodle theme. These can include institutional logos, color schemes, graphics, font types, icons, and even text content for the header and footer sections of your planned Moodle theme.
It is very important to think about this at this stage and to ensure that all of the branding requirements of the institution have been met, as there is nothing worse than creating a great theme only to be told that you have used the wrong color scheme or font. So networking is the game here! You must make sure that you find out exactly what is required in terms of branding at this stage. I often find that the first ports of call on this subject are often the web developers/designers and/or the marketing department.
