Importing data from an Excel spreadsheet


In the previous section, we covered the process of creating a sample import and export template for the Inventory Table in Dynamics AX. Since the option for creating a definition group was marked, it is possible to modify or import and export data on demand. The following steps will cover the process of importing data from an Excel spreadsheet. It will be a continuation from the previous example, which created an inventory table spreadsheet.

  1. 1. To begin the process of importing data from the spreadsheet, we must confirm that the Excel spreadsheet contains data, as shown in the following screenshot:
