It should be noted that, like the other topics we have discussed, the question of organization versus employee orientation involves managing on a spectrum.

Depending on the situation you're dealing with, the organization you're in, and to a lesser extent, the employee in question, you will have to decide where exactly on this spectrum you want to place yourself.

Remember that management does not involve deciding on one style and then sticking with it no matter what; it is a process of continual decision-making and adaptation to individual situations and people.
