Midrange to Azure

In the world of legacy modernization, there are two tiers of computers that you will encounter. Mainframes, both IBM and Unisys as we discussed in the previous chapter, were typically the core mission-critical systems. The other systems we need to consider are midrange systems. Midrange systems often supported the mainframes and were very popular in branch banking and retail store environments. They also were the core systems for smaller businesses and agencies.
