In this chapter, we learned about Deployment Manager and created a YAML configuration file. We used the Deployment Manager to deploy a virtual machine using the YAML file we created. We also learned about the GCP marketplace and deployed a blogging application from the marketplace. The chapter only touches on some basic concepts and it is highly recommended that you continue your learning on Deployment Manager uses and concepts. We also looked into GCP Cloud SDK's and cloud API—two ways to interact with GCP programmatically. We briefly looked into cloud shell which is a powerful, easy to access tool that is readily available.
