Startup and shutdown command reference


This section lists the various startup and shutdown commands that can be run from the command line, in addition to the location of the primary log file of the service being started:

  • For OHS: Replace ohs_1 with the name of the OHS instance:

    • Startup:

      source envWebTier.sh
      $MSERVER_HOME/bin/startComponent.sh ohs_1
      
    • Shutdown:

      source envWebTier.sh
      $MSERVER_HOME/bin/stopComponent.sh ohs_1
      
    • Log file:

      source envWebTier.sh
      cat $MSERVER_HOME/servers/ohs_1/logs/ohs_1.log
      
  • For AdminServer

    • Startup:

      source envMidTier.sh
      cd $ASERVER_HOME/servers/AdminServer/logs
      nohup $ASERVER_HOME/bin/startWebLogic.sh > AdminServer.out &
      
    • Shutdown:

      source envMidTier.sh
      $ASERVER_HOME/bin/stopWebLogic.sh
      
    • Log file:

      source envMidTier.sh
      cat $ASERVER_HOME/servers/AdminServer/logs/AdminServer.out
      
  • For managed servers:

    • Startup: Replace wls_soa1 with the name of the managed server:

      source envMidTier.sh
      cd $MSERVER_HOME/servers/wls_soa1/logs
      nohup $MSERVER_HOME/bin/startManagedWebLogic.sh wls_soa1...
