Summary

The world of mashups in Qlik Sense is a beautiful one. You can find fantastic and compelling examples on the internet, as well as blog posts on what is possible and achievable using the Qlik Sense API in a mashup. At the same time, it's also the most complex and challenging way to implement a data analytics project, compared to using the classic Qlik Sense client.

This chapter outlined the basics of using and building mashups or integrating Qlik Sense into web apps at a high level. It introduced ways to connect to, and authenticate with, the Qlik Engine from outside Qlik Sense, embed Qlik Sense objects into a web page, and interact with the Qlik App via the API passing on selections and reading selections.
