1. Open up WordPad, or if it is already open just go to the menu bar and choose File | New.
2. Type the following lines of code into your newly created
menu.php
file:<a href="<?php echo $CFG->wwwroot; ?>" title="Home">Home</a> :: <a href="<?php echo $CFG->wwwroot; ?>/course/index.php" title="Courses">Courses</a> :: <a href="<?php echo $CFG->wwwroot;?>/calendar/view.php?view=month" title="Calendar">Calendar</a> ::
3. Save this file as
menu.php
.
You created a PHP file called menu.php
, which includes links to the home, calendar, and courses pages in Moodle. This little file will make it much easier to add links at a later stage to Moodle, as you will not have to edit the header.html
file. You will be including the menu.php
file created in the menu block, next.
