You will create ads that utilize the powerful technologies in the iPhone to make your brand shine. Once you have engaged the user you can carry out targeted advertising campaigns with location-based coupons, store finders and social engagement. Using the iTunes Store you will see how it's even possible to add one-click digital content purchasing right within your ad. Summary

JavaScript is an incredibly powerful and versatile language, which, coupled with the iAd JS framework, can create some amazingly dynamic and rich ads. In this chapter, we've only brushed upon the potential of expanding our iAds with simple code snippets that have allowed us to:

  • Edit values of objects that aren't exposed to us in the iAd Producer inspector pane

  • Add events to the user's calendar and continue to remind them of us once they've left our ad

  • Send e-mails with dynamic content to let users contact us

  • Use the code editor and debugger to catch common errors

With our adverts looking great, having rich interactivity, and giving our users memorable experiences, let's take a look at the logistics of managing a successful iAd campaign.
