Summary


SQL Developer provides the ability to create and save SQL queries as reports. You can create your own reports using various reports styles, including graphs or master-detail reports, with sibling detail reports. In addition to being able to create your own reports, SQL Developer supplies a set of shipped reports that access the data dictionary and provide you with an easy start to assessing the status of your application. In this chapter, you saw that by using these SQL reports, you can determine the general health and status of all of the database aspects of the systems you are working with, including the general health of the database, the database objects, and instance data in the application. Using SQL Developer, you can build your own reports, and export them to be shared with colleagues by sharing the exported XML file, or through the user defined extension mechanism.
