Summary

In this chapter, we discussed certifications and their relevancy to anyone’s pursuit of becoming a network architect. IT certifications are necessary because they demonstrate an individual’s knowledge and expertise in specific technologies, tools, and methodologies essential to network architecture and design. Some important considerations are validation of one’s skills, competitive advantage, professional growth, credibility, and additional opportunities.

We discussed how to prepare for certification exams based on what I’ve done throughout my IT career thus far.
