Summary
In this chapter, we looked at the roles and responsibilities of several entry-level, mid-level, and senior-level positions you might come across in the IT industry and within organizations. Each role has its responsibilities characterized by the required level of networking acumen.
As an individual progresses throughout their career to become a network architect, not only does their knowledge base related to networking increase, but the level of responsibility and scope, their visibility in the organization, their knowledge of different technologies, decision making, and business sense also increase.
In the next chapter, we’ll discuss the attributes of a network architect.
