There are two ways you can approach when pricing your project. The traditional method is time-based, the alternative is value-based.
This assumes:
you are working on an external project or
for internal projects there's an internal charge
If you are working on an internal project and there's no need to price the project, you can skip this part of the chapter; however, I think it's always good to have an understanding of the value of a project.
This is what most people use. It's based on how long it will take to complete the project multiplied by the hourly rate.
