Chapter 10. Deploying your Application

We have just a few more steps to complete before our application is live for the world to see and ready for users to sign up and create posts to their heart's content.

We'll do the following things in this chapter to get our application up and running:

  • We'll set up an account with Cloudant to house our application's CouchDB database and prepare it for our application

  • We'll add a configuration class to our project to use environment variables to drive our application's settings

  • We'll create an account with PHP Fog to host our application

  • We'll configure Git to connect to PHP Fog's Git repository and deploy our application

As you might expect, we're going to be doing a lot of account setup and tweaking of our code in this chapter.
