Starting your Application

Before we get started

We've played around with a lot of files to test Bones and Sag, but you'll notice that our application is still looking pretty barren. So, let's spruce up the design a bit. Since designing and implementing UIs isn't the purpose of this book, we'll use a toolkit called Bootstrap to do the heavy lifting for us. Bootstrap (http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/) was created by Twitter to kickstart the development of web applications and sites. It will allow us to breeze past front-end development without too much work. Let's get Bootstrap up and running and then do some housekeeping on our layout.

Cleaning up our interface by installing Bootstrap

Setting up Bootstrap is incredibly easy. We could reference the CSS on their remote servers, but we'll download and call the CSS locally since it's best practice to reduce the amount of external calls.
