Starting your Application

Summary

I hope you're blown away by how much we've been able to accomplish in this chapter. Our application is really starting to come together.

Specifically, we covered:

  • How to dramatically improve the interface by using Bootstrap from Twitter

  • How to create additional fields on top of existing CouchDB user documents

  • How to handle errors and debug issues with logs

  • How to completely build out the ability, so that users can sign up, log in, and log out of our application with the help of Sag and CouchDB

This is just the beginning of our application. We still have a lot to do. In the next chapter, we will start to work on a user profile and work on the creation of new documents in CouchDB. These documents will be our users' posts.
